About the Lounge

The Tapioca Lounge is the brainchild of an overly ambitious college kid, Ling Wang, who grew up sipping bubble tea and enjoyed every moment of it.  On one hot summer day, when she and her friends were hanging at a local bubble tea joint in Chinatown, she decided once and for all, she was going to take the dive, and open up a similar place in Humble.   After that eventful day, months of planning and building went by.  The logo was created by her ever creative sister, Kathleen, who is still in High School; Ling and her sisters also put together the interior designs.  When the Tapioca Lounge finally opened on October 3rd, 2009, it was vibrant, colorful, and upbeat.  What’s our vision?  To provide people in the Humble/Atascocita/Kindwood area with smiles and yummy drinks, of course.

Located on 6730 Atascocita Rd, Humble (right behind the Wal-Mart), Tapioca Lounge provide smoothies, slushies, milk teas, frappuccinos, and flavored iced teas with 34 varieties and flavors. We have gourmet sandwiches, an assortment of desserts, snack food, and something we call EGGETTES (which you can’t find anywhere else in Houston…at least that we know of).bestbeverage

Our staff has been trained to make drinks and sandwiches that suit your taste, so never be shy to ask about special combinations that are not on the menu. With free Wi-Fi and plentiful board games, the Tapioca Lounge is the perfect place for relaxation with friends and families. For those on the go, we have spill-proof seals on each cup for easy transportation.

We also provide catering, and are more than happy to host local club events.

More About the Owner

LingonstageHey guys,

So just a little bit about myself.  I sort of live a double life.  I’m attending the Clive Davis Department of Recorded Music at New York University as a part-time student, but I’m actually a full time record producer.  I write songs for other people, I record bands, annnd I manage the Tapioca Lounge.  Of course, we also have Jerry at the Lounge , and he’s fantastic at all things.  We call him Mr. Clean cause he kind of looks like him, and Jerry also loves cleaning, which is a plus for everyone.

Anyways, I hope you like the monthly open mic nights that we’re putting together.  I live, breathe, and consume music, so open mics are right up my alley.  If you come, you might even get to hear me play.  If you want to check out the projects that I’m doing, you can follow my blog at http://newyorkling.tumblr.com.  I’m currently recording a Norwegian singer-songwriter name Elise Vatsvaag, and she’s brilliant.

Well, lots of love.  If you spot me at the lounge, say hi. :)
